Romania valuable and impressive holding of better material comprised of nearly all mint singles, sets, blocks and multiples, souvenir sheets and sheetlets, all arranged in no particular order on well filled stockpages in eleven binders or stockbooks, the holding is heavily duplicated and there is very little after around 1960, with strength and bulk of value in issues prior to 1940, for instance regarding key sets we found six sets of the 1903 15b-5L Opening of the Budapest post office (Scott #166-72) and nineteen sets of the 1906 5b-3L General Exposition (Scott #196-206) as well as a set with the "S E" overprints, the holding is also specialized with numerous errors, varieties including imperf. between, numerous imperforate sets and singles a few proofs and the like, the classic period is strongly represented, with for instance nine mint copies of Moldavia 1859 40pa blue and one used on piece, the Moldavia-Walachia issues are numerous, including shades, multiples, and pairs with one sideways, the Romania 1865-72 imperforate issues are also strong and numerous as are the King Carol perforated issues, including 1893 5b blue and 15b rose imperforate between and the 25b in the 5b cliche error, the quality is well above average, while there are some small faults mainly among the nineteenth century issues overall this is an exceptionally clean lot of largely o.g., l.h. and n.h. fine-very fine stamps; this lot really deserves to be viewed carefully to be fully appreciated and any dealer who buys this will likely have the best and cleanest Romania stock in North America.
