#9X1, New York, N.Y., 5c Black Postmaster Provisional, signed ACM connected, horizontal pair, clear to large margins nearly all around except just into the frame line at top left, deep rich color, tried to1847 entire folded letter to Plattsburg, N.Y. by red diamond grids and "New York/10Cents/20 Jan" c.d.s., matching "Paid" arc at left, vertical file fold affects the right stamp, very fine appearance and a scarce cover.
