1899 (25 Sept.) envelope via Burutu to Sir George Goldie (formerly Mr. Goldie-Taubman, Founder and Chairman of The Royal Niger Company) to London, bearing 1881 1d. lilac cancelled by a superb strike of the "lokoja/post offivce" double-oval datestamps (Sacher Type 13) in violet with fine "the royal niger company,/chartered & limited./post office,/burutu" framed datestamp (Sacher Type 8) alongside, arrival c.d.s.
