1877 Delhi Durbar
1877 (4 Jan.) envelope from an officer with the 28th Bengal Native infantry, to Germany bearing India 2a.4p. franking tied by a faint strike of "2nd infantry division/camp p.o." barred duplex and bearing, on the reverse a fine strike of the very rare "field post office/imperial/durbar" duplex with five other datestamps including a t.p.o. Also a group of related items including a European trade card, picture post card and other background information. Photo
