William III (1694-1702), Shilling, 1697 y, gvlielmvs. iii. dei. gra., third laureate and draped bust right, y for York below, rev. inverted die axis, mag. br. fra. et.hib. rex., four crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to Irish harp, arms of Orange Nassau in centre, edge diagonally milled (ESC 1107; MCE 864; S.3510), weakly struck on the bust, a few tiny flecks both sides, good very fine, old grey tone
