Charles II (1660-85), Crown, 1664, carolvs. ii. - dei. gratia, second, slightly smaller, laureate and draped bust right, hair ties both curled, rev. inverted die axis, mag. br. fra. et. hib. rex., four crowned shields cruciform, the shields of England and France separate, ten strings to Irish harp, interlinked Cs in angles, Garter Star in centre, edge with inverted raised letters, .+. decvs. et. tvtamen .+. anno. regni. xvi (ESC 28; MCE 659; S.3355), good very fine, old grey toning, scarce in this condition
