Charles I (1625-49), Tower mint under Parliament, Crown, 29.82g, type 5, m.m. sun both sides, carolvs d.' g.' mag.' bri.' fra.' et hib.' rex, king, crowned and in armour, on horseback left, holding upright sword in right hand, tall horse with upright head, tail flowing back, rev. .:. christo avspice regno.:., oval garnished shield (Brooker 275 same dies; N.2199; S.2762), on a handsome full flan as usual, light scratches and flan flaws on obverse, good very fine
