Edward VI (1547-53), third period 1550-53, fine silver issue, Sixpence, 3.04g, m.m. tun both sides, wire inner circle within beaded circle both sides, small letters, edward: vi:d'.g'. agl'. fra'. z. hib'. rex.:, crowned bust facing, rose to left, mark of value vi to right, rev. posvi dev.' a - divtor - e.' mev.', plain square topped shield over long cross fourchée (N.1938; S.2483), a lovely deeply toned full example, small flaw by right eye otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare thus
