Edward VI (1547-53), third period 1550-53, fine silver issue, Shilling, 6.10g, m.m. tun both sides, wire inner circle within beaded circle both sides, :edward'. vi. d'.g'. agl'. fra'. z. hib'. rex:, crowned bust facing, rose to left, mark of value xii to right, rev. posvi dev': a - divtor - e'. mev'., plain square topped shield over long cross fourchée (N.1937; S.2482), deeply toned and with a lovely sculptural portrait of the king, nearly extremely fine and scarce thus
