Henry VII (1485-1509), profile issue, Testoon or Shilling, 9.21g, type I/I, m.m. lis both sides, henric' di' gra' rex anglie z fran', crowned bust right, single arched crown with six jewels, beaded border, beaded and wire line inner circles, rev. posvi dev'x a - divto' ev'x mev', plain square topped shield over long cross fleury with ornamental ends, with small lis at terminals, beaded border, beaded inner circle (BNJ 1962 die 2/2, and plate X,3 - this coin; N.1740; S.2251), struck slightly off cente on reverse and lightly burnished in fields both sides, otherwise with a clear portrait, very fine for this classic issue, extremely rare, the Murdoch plate coin

Four Testoons are known reading henric' di' gra'. Three have this reverse type with a small lis at the ornamental cross ends, and the fourth has the second type with slipped trefoils at the cross ends (see Roger Shuttlewood collection, Spink auction 151, 15 March 2001, lot 73).
