Indian Stamps used in Siam
1864 (12 Sept.) entire letter written by John Bush from Bangkok to London, via Marseilles, bearing 8p. and 1a. block of eight (4x2; affixed over left edge and torn through opening) and a pair (crossed by filing crease), all cancelled "B/172", showing red London Paid arrival c.d.s. (21.11) and, on reverse, fine "singapore/p.o." double-ring datestamp (6.10). A wonderful example of the 10a.8p. rate and without doubt one of the most spectacular India/Siam frankings. Photo
