Two pieces (137x60mm. and 85x97mm.) bearing five perf 12 colour trials made from the engraved 4d. Perkins, Bacon plate, the first bearing carmine (1d.) marked "Proposed colour being that established by the International Postal Convention for this duty" and sepia (2d.) marked "Proposed colour", the second piece bearing yellow-brown (4d.), violet (6d.) and sage-green (1/-) marked "Proposed colours".
