Egyptian Ministry of Finance, a sole bill of exchange for 97,500 piastres, 2nd January 1864, payable on the 1st April 1865, signed by Ahmed-Rechid Pacha, Minster of Finance, also by bankers E. Dervieu & Co and H. Oppenheim, Neveu & Co., large format, text in French, Arabic and English, black on grey paper, endorsements on reverse passing through several hands until accepted by Mayer D'Angeli on 29th March 1865, an excellent example of Egyptian short term borrowing, very fine.
