Harthacnut (1040-42), Penny, 1.14g, Arm and sceptre type in the name of Harthacnut, Southwark, Aegelwine, draped and diademed bust left holding trefoil tipped sceptre, +harÐcnvt, rev. aegelpine on svÐ:, lozenge with incurved sides, pellet on tips, all around central pellet, over voided short cross (SCBI 40 Stockholm, No.1707; N.811; S.1168), very light undulation on periphery by CNVT, a remarkably fine piece, full and centred, sharp bust and legends, plenty of lustre on this, as struck and extremely fine
