English hammered (2), Cnut (1016-35), Penny (1), 1.15g, Pointed helmet type, Winchester, Aelfstan, helmeted bust left, sceptre before, rev. +aelfstan on pinc, voided short cross, arms extending from pellet within central annulet, broken annulet in each angle (N.787; S.1158), pecked and cracked from 6 o'clock up to centre of coin with area diverging to front of bust, otherwise a tidy piece, centred and good very fine or better, Anglo-Saxon, Sceatta (1), 1.00g, Primary phase, c.680-c.710, Series R5, radiate bust right, runic inscription, gepa, before, rev. standard with tufa above (Abramson p.66, Rev.1; N.157; S.813), a field find with some porosity, good quality silver and well struck, good very fine (2)
