Celtic, Trinovantes, Addedomaros (late first century BC), gold Quarter Stater, 1.24g, X box type, opposing crescents with pellets around in central field, rev. [..]dedomaros, horse right, saltire with central pellet on box below, ring pellet before, branch above, (ABC 2520; BMC 2422-23; Mack 269; S.205), a field find with the usual scuffs in places, corresponding hairline striking fissure near 10 o'clock, knock by reverse crescents, whereas this piece appearing in good preservation with much of Addedomaros' title legible, a well proportioned strike and the devices mostly struck up, good very fine, rare

Close observation of the reverse crescents reveal further indistinct forms in this area. It has not been possible to discern what this represents though a fleur-de-lis or plant-style design is apparent. A specialist eye may be able to elucidate the design further
