Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Third and fourth issues, 1561-77, Sixpence, 3.17g, 1561, m.m. pheon, large flan, small crowned bust left, rev. shield over long cross fourchée (N.1997; S.2560), small striking fissure at 1 o'clock and scratch to cheek, however, a most pleasing piece, the flan full, well-centred and round, old collection tone and a very good strike, nearly extremely fine and with eye appeal
