Richard III (1483-85), Groat, 3.13g, m.m sun and rose 2, crowned bust facing, fleurs on cusps, none below bust or above crown, saltire stops, rev. long cross, three pellets in angles, chevron barred a in tas, no stops (N.1679; S.2157), old collection tone, pleasing bust with 'scowling' eyes, the regnal title quite readable, good very fine and a staunch piece of this popular reign
