8527 Private Walter Tovell, born 1886; served with the 1st Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment during the Great War on the Western Front from 27.1.1915; killed in action 25.4.1915, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
