Auction: 150 - The Philatelic Collector's Series Sale
Lot: 372
South Carolina postal history collection of 65 covers with strength in stampless and Confederate States periods, good Charleston with a nice variety of datestamp styles and rate markings featuring 1798 "C. Nov 27" straightline handstamp, other stampless postmarks include red "Camden" with matching negative "5" rate, two "Edgefield C.H." and "Gadsen," Confederate usages include handstamped paids from Abbeville, Camden (2) one on an adversity cover, Columbia, Darlington, Georgetown, Greenville, Pocotalgos and Spartansburg, plus several ms. postmarks and franking by CSA adhesives, usual mixed condition, however fine-very fine predominate so this would make a nice basis for a serious collection.
