Mint and used collection to 1997 with postal history, comprising many thousands housed in 36 well-filled binders and identified by Scott number, all inside three large boxes, abundant used definitives and commemoratives from 1857 through the 1930s, solidly packed and predominantly both mint and used issues from about 1940 forward, includes mint o.g. 1857 3c vertical pair (one stamp n.h.), mint n.h. 1994 Recalled Legends of the West sheet, 1993 Garden Flowers pane with black omitted, plus well over $3000 in mint face to $14.00, incl. plate blocks, full sheets, used 1859 5c brown, various grills to 15c, 1862 90c, 1869 Pictorials 1c-12c, 15c type II, several Bank Notes to 90c, 1890-98 Bureaus to $2.00, 1893 Columbians to 50c (mint o.g. 4c), 1898 Trans-Mississippi to 50c, 1901 Pan-American, 1907 Louisiana Purchase, and 1912-15 Panama-Pacific sets, numerous 1909-1920 Washington-Franklins to $5.00, 1912-13 Parcel Post set, and many other better items, over 200 pieces of postal history accompany, incl. 60 stampless covers or folded letter sheets, posted in 1830s-1850s, displaying various rates and handstamped town or manuscript cancels, about 60 covers franked with 1851 or 1857 3c displaying various color shades, WWII APO covers, Vietnam War free franked soldier's mail, one with interesting content about a bombing mission, assorted 1940s FDCs with better cachets, even some vintage picture postcards, mixed condition among the early classics and covers, mint includes, o.g., n.h., l.h., h.r., and unused, many fine or better, plenty of useful material throughout, well worth careful examination.
