#17, 1869 "50.Cents.50" surcharge on 3d Violet, an exceptional mint example, being incredibly well centered amid balanced margins, which allow the perforations to clear the outer frame lines all around, a very rare occurrence on this issue, remarkably fresh with strong color, full clean o.g. that has only been very lightly hinged, extremely fine; a nicer example would be a challenge to locate; 2013 Greene Foundation certificate (Unitrade C$2,400.00 for fine).
