Pleasant, IA, entire originated and cancelled by a "New York/Oct. 12, 1888" duplex cancel, Mt. Pleasant receiving c.d.s. on reverse, local with inconsequential corner crease and cover with large piece missing on reverse, still fine-very fine; Operated by James C. Jay, this was a delivery service to and from Richwoods and Mt. Pleasant to the nearest P.O. in LaHoyt; clear 2012 PF certificate.
