Stamps of Pakistan were used from 29 December 1947 until 31 March 1948. Prior to the sale of the Nasik overprints a very small number of Indian stamps were handstamped "PAKISTAN" and they were on sale for only nine days though valid until 31 March 1948
1948 (15 Feb.) envelope registered to Bahrain, bearing, on reverse, Nasik 9p. block of four, pair and 2a., all cancelled by C33 c.d.s., the face panel showing frameless "muscat" registration handstamp directly applied to the cover with "registered label frame" carefully drawn round in red ink; most attractive.
