1949 (27 Jan.) envelope registered to the British Consulate, Muscat, bearing 1948 Independence 1r. scarlet neatly cancelled by double-ring datestamp, various Karachi (9-23.2) and arrival (12.3) c.d.s. on reverse. Rare with only six examples of this stamp recorded used for postal purposes. Photo
