Japanese Occupation of Malaya
Deed of Substitution Pursuant to a Power of Attorney, first registered and duty paid at Malacca (5.8.41) using Straits $1 tied by red embossed datestamp. It was then registered in Negri Sembilan with duty paid used Negri $1 and cancelled at the Seremban Stamp Office. In December 1942 during the Japanese occupation the deed was registered at Muar using Johore "dai nippon" $1 and eventually the deed was re-registered at Malacca on 15 March 1943. Photo
