1872 (29 Sept.) envelope to Dunedin, endorsed "Havelock 27.9.72" on reverse and bearing 1871 2d. orange tied by superb Dunedin "O" duplex. Believed to be the sole example of mail from this goldfield. Photo

Note: A small quantity of gold was found in the area known as Havelock. A Post Office was open from August 1870 until December 1875
