1880 (Oct.) envelope with Noa Flat Hotel imprint on flap, to Cromwell, bearing Sideface 2d. rose cancelled "OSG" or "039" in manuscript and showing, on reverse, Clyde (16.10) and Cromwell (19.10) c.d.s.; most unusual

Note: Gold was found in the Bengerburn River at the conflux with the Clutha River. There was no Post Office at Bengerburn at this time, an office being opened at Ettrick in 1883
