1867 (27 July) complete copy of "The Illustrated New Zealander" Dunedin newspaper from Waikouaiti, Otago to Gainford near Darlington and carried on the RMSP Co. 14th. voyage by the Rakaia, bearing 1864-67 1d. carmine-vermilion twice cancelled "O5"; the contents including an article on "Wild Bull Hunting in Australia", "Bishop Selwyn's Fairwell Address at Auckland" and illustrations of Bishop Harper, Otago Benevolent Institute and the Custom House, Dunedin. Small portion of face panel torn away, otherwise fine and one of only two examples of Chalon Head values recorded on newspapers. R.P.S. Certificate (2006). Photo
