"Veld Dienst" envelope from Dewetsdorp to a Leon Zeilder under Commandant Viljoen on the Tugela River front, bearing O.F.S. 1d. tied by c.d.s. and showing a fine strike of the "Veld-Post./g.f. fleischer,/duitsch & johannesburg/commandos." datestamp for 1 February, Bloemfontein and Hoofdlager (1.2) c.d.s. on reverse; the envelope with a couple of faults at upper left though a fine example of ingoing mail to the main battle front.
