#434, 11c Dark green, a phenomenal mint example, possessing lavishly large margins and being absolutely perfectly centered within them, rich luxuriant color and a deeply etched impression on pristine paper, even its perforations are uniformly intact and full all around, unblemished o.g. without a single gum bend or skip, n.h., superb in every way.[cr][lf][cr][lf]There are very few stamps in U.S. philately that exist in a condition that cannot be improved upon, particularly from this challenging era. The Scott #434 is one such stamp. Every physical aspect of this remarkable stamp is flawless, as confirmed by the PSE certificate which accompanies it - grading it a perfect Gem 100. It is, of course, the sole example to have been awarded this ultimate grade. As one can imagine, any stamp from the perforated 10 single line watermark series is a major condition rarity when graded 100. To date, in the PSE Population report, there are only the following five stamps from Scott #424-40 to have been assigned this spectacular grade: two 1c values, two 2c, a single 6c and the stunning 11c value offered here from the ""Westchester"" Collection.[cr][lf][cr][lf]Accompanied by a 1989 PF certificate, as well as a 2007 PSE certificate (Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ in any grade higher than 98, SMQ $2,400.00 as 98); as mentioned above the sole example of Scott #434 to have been assigned the prestigious Gem 100 grad Estimate US$ 5,000-6,000
