1910 (10 Mar.) picture postcard (Kamba, Belgian Congo) from Tiangara, in the Uele district of Belgian Congo, "via Khartoum, Le Caire (Egypte)" to France, bearing Belgian Congo 5c. and 10c. each cancelled by Dungu c.d.s. and in combination with Sudan 5m. red and black cancelled by 306 dot retta of Khartoum, the reverse with Khartoum transit c.d.s. (22.4); a scarce and most attractive card sent through the Lado Enclave, just three months before it was evacuated. Photo
Note: Dungu was an exchange office in the Lado Enclave. The card was taken through the enclave to Rejaf and then up the Nile via Khartoum by an occasional vessel and not by mailboat. A similar item is illustrated on page 133 of "Postal History of the Lado Enclave" by A.G. Gudenkauf
