Two personal letters between Montagu Norman, Governor of the Bank of England, and Alfred Wagg, Chairman of the merchant bankers Helbert, Wagg. Dated 27th and 28th of July 1931 respectively, the initial letter, from Wagg, offers possible sources of unofficial information as the 1930's depression developed. The hand written reply, addressed 'My Dear Wagg', thanks him for his offer and is suitably noncommittal,
