1889 (1 Oct.) Japan 3s. stationery card from Vladivistok to Hamburg "via Brindisi" cancelled by a good strike of the 20mm "cenzan" c.d.s. with a second strike alongside and a similar Shanghai transit c.d.s., the reverse with British Post Office Shanghai (7.11) and Hong Kong (11.11) transit c.d.s.; Hamburg arrival (4.12) on address side. The card has suffered some light ageing which barely detracts from this rare and important cover.
