A fine quality example the silver plated back plate with silver and gilt mounts, comprising a multi-rayed beaded star overlaid with a crowned circular Garter Proper in gilt, the red enamelled cross of St. George in the centre and a floreate scroll below 'Royal West Midd'x', complete with original leather liner, c.1840-1852, excellent condition
