A scarce good quality example, the silver plated back plate with silver and gilt mounts, comprising a silver multi-rayed facetted star overlaid with a gilt crowned Garter Proper, the cross of St. George in the centre, below the Garter a floreate scroll 'Royal South Lincoln', complete with original leather liner, c.1840-1855, an incorrect pattern crown has been applied to the Garter and no enamel remains on the central cross, one corner of the back plate with a slight buckle
