A very scarce and fine quality example the gilt back plate with silver mounts, comprising crowned laurel sprays enclosing the engine turned numerals 'XXXI' below the laurels are pile battle honour plinths, 'Talavera Albuhera Vittoria Pyrenees Nivelle Nive Peninsula' all upon a Roman fasces, complete with original leather liner, c.1830-1847 (Parkyn 264), excellent condition
