27th (Enniskillen) Regiment of Foot
A very rare and fine quality example the engine turned gilt back plate with silver and gilt mounts, comprising a crowned multi-rayed facetted star overlaid with the castle and title 'Enniskillen', the numerals '27' below and at the bottom the Sphinx/Egypt, ten battle honour bars emanate from the castle, c.1840-1855 (Parkyn 237), excellent condition
