A very scarce and extremely fine example the gilt back plate with silver mounts, comprising a crowned tri-part scroll 'Minden Gibraltar Seringapatam', laurel sprays enclose a circular strap 'Montis Insignia Calpe', within the strap on a domed ground the Castle and Key of Gibraltar over 'XII', at the base of the laurels a scroll 'India', complete with original leather liner, c.1843-1855 (Parkyn 140), excellent condition
