Cayman Islands The John Byl Collection Jamaica Used In Cayman Islands "grand cayman/post office" oval datestamp in violet (Type 1) Covers The earliest recorded cover bearing Jamaican adhesives used in the Cayman Islands 1893 (18 Apr.) envelope to Miss Eliza McPherson in Kingston, Jamaica, bearing 1d. purple and mauve placed sideways at centre and cancelled with a largely fine complete strike, the reverse with two Lucea (22.4) and Kingston (26.4) c.d.s.; the envelope a little soiled and creased though rare and the latest recorded of the five outgoing covers.
