Great Britain1840 One Penny BlackPlate IIPD (recut letter squares), large margins and showing a portion of the adjoining stamp at left, tied by crisp red Maltese Cross on entire letter, dated 5 June 1840, addressed to Yorkshire, red Exeter d.s. additionally ties the adhesive and with "exeter/ju 6/1840/py post" alongside, vertical fling fold clear of the adhesive and a tear through the Penny Post marking, otherwise fine and attractive.
