Great Britain1840 One Penny BlackPlate IIOK, grey-black shade, a little close at right but large margins other sides, placed sideways and cancelled by a crisp red Maltese Cross, on entire letter, dated 22 May 1840, used within London, blue "T.P./Chancery Lane" alongside and red boxed datestamp on reverse, light vertical filing fold well clear of the adhesive, fine and a scarce early date.
