The Profile Head 1912-24 Watermark Royal Cypher One Penny Perforated Colour Trials, 1912 The following eight lots comprise a lower right corner block of twelve (6x2), unless otherwise stated, with Control "C/X 8/12" in the lower margin, together with a 1d. stamp of King Edward VII which was left imperforate. All are on gummed watermark paper In rose-red and, on reverse, each handstamped "Colour Trial F" in red and with pencil "S.E. 3181" in selvedge; the upper row with horizontal bend and a crease in the bottom margin which just impinges on the KE 1d., otherwise fresh and fine.
