Prince Edward Island Third Issue 1862 (November) Printing, Yellowish Toned Paper, Perf 11 1/2-12 Covers 1867 (29 Aug.) locally addressed entire, bearing 2d. rose tied by "prince edward island" c.d.s. (Type P5), showing unframed "more-to-pay" (Type P99) with handstruck "4" (Type P111) alongside; upon arrival the entire was "turned", addressed back to sender and similarly franked and cancelled (10.9). Both adhesives crossed by filing crease and the entire with some faults. A splendid and unique usage. Photo Estimate £ 500-600 Note: This wrapper contained a separate Bond document as noted in the correspondence - giving rise to the surcharge. This item was the refolded by the recipient, stamped, and returned to sender by way of receipt.
