Stamp Boxes and Related Items Gold Boxes 1918c. american 14ct. two compartment box in the form of an envelope, the front bearing a red enamelled 2c. stamp neatly "cancelled" by a black enamelled New York postmark, the reverse showing a black enamelled receiving mark and the flap of the envelope hinged to reveal two sloped compartments; fine and very rare, being the first of this type we have seen.
