Victoria 1863 (25 May) entire from Richmond to the Secretary of the Post Office, Melbourne bearing 186 (24 Apr.) Emblem perf. 12 2d. dull reddish lilac cancelled with "71" duplex and believed to be the earliest recorded date of use of this stamp, 1861 (24 Aug.) envelope from Melbourne to England bearing Beaded Oval 6d. black (stains) used just four days after it´s issue, 1871 (2 June) mourning envelope (flap missing) from Wedderburn "Via Brindisi" to Scotland, bearing Laureated 1d. yellow-green and 6d. blue (2) very lightly cancelled and showing, on reverse, light despatch c.d.s, Melbourne (3.1) and arrival c.d.s. (20.2); an attractive example of the short-lived 1/1d. rate, and 1896 (13 Jan.) OHMS envelope with Frank stamp of the Minister of Defence and an imprint of the Victorian Naval Forces, from Melbourne to a lieutenant in the Admiralty in London, redirected locally and again to Liverpool, three U.K. transit c.d.s. on reverse; small faults though very scarce Estimate £ 300-350
