Northern Nigeria 1901 (7 June) envelope (faults) from Rev. G.P. Bargery at Loko to "Mr. W.H. Bargery, c/o Royal Niger Co., Oguta Station, W. Africa", bearing 19001d. tied by "lokoja/post office" oval d.s. in black and showing, on reverse, another strike of the Lokoja d.s., Liverpool (5.7) and Forcados River (28.7). A rare internal and most unusual misdirected cover. Photo Estimate £ 400-500 Note: The cover travelled by the Benue River Mail service to Lokoja G.P.O. and incorrectly placed in the U.K. bag (via R. Niger/Forcados/Liverpool). At Liverpool placed in Nigeria bag arriving at Forcados 28 July. From Forcados, onward transmission by intermediate River Niger Service.
