Hong Kong Postal History Incoming Mail 1865 (4 Mar.) part parcel piece from Labuan to Manila bearing India 1856-64 4a. black (3) used in combination with Hong Kong 1862-63 8c. yellow-buff (3), each neatly cancelled by Victoria, Labuan circle of dots (type K1) and shows a superb strike of large "labuan" c.d.s. (type D1) in black at foot (the latest recorded date) with Manila handstruck "2" alongside; the front is with some faults, including several vertical folds. This is the only true India/Hong Kong combination cover and is an item of the greatest importance in Hong Kong postal history. Photo Estimate HK$ 350,000-400,000 All early Labuan covers are very scarce. Only two covers are recorded bearing Indian Stamps whilst there are five bearing Hong Kong stamps (one which has a stamp excised). The arrangement of the stamps suggests that this is a triple rate cover bearing Indian and Hong Kong stamps to ensure transmission to its destination. Alternatively this is a six times rate cover with mixed franking required to cover the cost
