China 1898-1910 Chinese Imperial Post Covers 1905 (19 Jan.) red band cover to Hangchow bearing, on the reverse, pair of 2c. red (paying the 4c. domestic rate) tied by Foochow City lunar dater along with the small Foochow no.3 letter box tombstone in red and a very fine strike of Hangchow tombstone arrival, the front with further lunar despatch and a good strike of Foochow c.d.s. (Customs removed). A fine cover showing rare use of the Foochow (Customs) c.d.s. which generally only used to cancel the adhesives. Photo Estimate HK$ 45,000-50,000
