Egypt Postal History 1871, folded envelope from Rome to Aleppo franked Italy 20c. blue and 40c. rose tied by mute cancellation and roma 15/11/71 c.d.s. alongside, the envelope arrived at Austrian P.O. in Constantinople and there 5s. red and 25s. grey tied by "lloyd agenzie constantinople 30/11" c.d.s., now the envelope was handed over to the Egyptian Post Office and carried via Alessandria and Alexandrette to Aleppo and there affixed with two single Turkey 10pa. brownish-violet tied by boxed alep 81 (one 1pi. stamp missing) and redirected to Beyrouth. The cover could not be delivered was shipped back to Smyrne (ms. 10/1/72) and Constantinopoli (ms.7/2/72), unique and important postal history of Egypt and the Levant! Photo Estimate € 1,500-2,000
